This book is about my journey growing up with parents who experienced the world and through the experiences of those who were put on my path. I was deeply touched by what was presented in the depth of my soul. My spirit moved me to desire a better understanding of their walk and the impact on their lives during their journey. I learned through my parents and my trips to Benin, Ghana, and Dahomey, Africa to explore what my people had experienced. Once I was able to tread these sacred grounds and do my research, I understood what was needed to connect others to the experiences, walk of pain, courage, strength, belief, and faith that it took to take this journey in this book. I had no choice.
